Clearing up as to whether Prince played on John L. Nelson's "Father's Song" EP...

It's been rumoured that the "Gemini" credited as playing guitar on this CD is Prince.

It isn't. It's a guy called Marvin "Gemini" Hodge.

Now let's get back to talking about how the Illuminati killed Prince... wink

I had no idea this release existed until you brought it up right now, must be pretty damn difficult to get hold of. Have you heard it? If so did you like it?

I had a bootleg CD called Platinum which had this. The music was...er, interesting.

The actual EP seems impossible to get hold of.

I still have that CD. It was a favorite back in the day. Father's Song was alright, nothing special.

Who is Marvin Hodge? What else has he done?

The guitar definitely isn't Prince. The bass, however, isn't credited to anyone on the booklet and it sounds like it could be him. The Vault/Nilsen team, as well as Boris, have dismissed any possibility that P may have been involved, however some orger once claimed that one of P's sister (Tyka or another one, I can't remember) personally told him in a casual convo that P does play on the record.

So I'd say probably not, but there is a very slight possibility that he's playing the bass.

Hopefully P's family can one day clear this once and for all.
