Can't wait, the Peach and Black are back, so glad, because it has been so eerily quiet in many ways about Prince since his passing, except here on the org. I will listen to it tomorrow as my partner is listening to Mozart.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'm really enjoying your resonses to questions from fans but the podcast is lagging badly in spots making it difficult to get through the show. In fact, it just completely stopped at the 77:07 mark. Tried refreshing the page and that didn't help. Don't know if it's only on my computer... Anyhoo, keep 'em coming--always love hearing from you guys. wink

thanks for carrying on with the podcasts , it will be something to look forward too Prince related. With real fans. Me personally, haven't got over his death yet. Don't even want to go to Paisley Park even though it was on top of my bucket list before he died. But each to there own.

I listened to the show today and the other show you referred to about your time in New York. The tales you tell of your meeting with Prince was bittersweet to hear but also hilarious falloff . It's great that your back and keeping it going, your podcasts are appreciated.

Glad you guys are still casting the pods. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on some of the more well known (live) bootlegs. Also hoping that you'll finally tell the story.

I played it to death at the time. Have never been able to get it to work since - with any level of compatability fiddling. You can search through the folders though in explorer and see any media on there.

In the extended, mainly instrumental, version of House Quake (Mo Quake)...there is part where a sample is used that sounds like Jesse and Sly's Crazay. Was it used?

Come on you guys, you know better than to glorify Colonized Mind. He lifted it from the (recently departed) Miriam Makeba and her song Quit It with no credit given. Even left in the "no responsibility" line.

Just added in some ignorant lyrics regarding evolution, single parents etc.

I prefer your album reviews. These questions were just shooting the breeze kind of questions.

.

Maybe you could do podcasts on some unreleased albums, or various eras/bands, and how these things evolved over time in terms of sound/arrangements/stage shows and so on.

I can see the simularities, very much so. I think producing the amount of work Prince did this is inevitable just like the Barry Manilow nod on Planet Erath. There's actually a Guitar noodle at the beginning of Colonized Mind which sounds indentical to Brothers in Arms. I must watch the West Wing again wink

Nice one chaps - to know that you're gonna crack on regardless is a boon to all purple people. Couple of points...

.

Regards the control of potential release of unreleased music/live visual concerts - I really hope it happens. However if there was no will, then, really, none will be released as Prince didn't want any of it out there. I'm a big fan (as we all are) and although I respect Prince, it'd be such a shame if none does get released - especially the live gigs - as this is for me the main attraction of Prince - seeing him perform. Seeing him put it all together - the clothes, the look, the songs, the current musical phase, the improvisation, the attitude, the dancing...the performance. I've got countless DVD bootlegs of wildly varying quality and I wouldn't swap them for the world - still get a massive buzz watching these and I just don't tire from them as I'm sure a lot of people out there would appreciate. Prince didn't want them out there, or, couldn't be bothered, I dunno, but to try and make people feel guilty to possess these is just plain wrong. Watching them only enhances your appreciation of the man and to deny people this experience doesn't make sense. Be great for Peach and Black to hopefully review such stuff - there'd be so much great quality stuff to see, but I fear that it won't happen.

.

Of course, if Peach and Black were in control, drip-feeding music and live stuff - that'd be a dream - we trust your judgement, but that definitely ain't gonna happen. The only people I would probably trust from how they come across would be Alan Leeds and Susan Rogers.

.

Also kinda sad when you said that your interest in him would inevitably wane as there will, of course, be no more new music, especially as Peach and Black finally got to finish reviewing all his albums and then...he died. Mad. That was brought home to me when I finally got my CD of "HitnRun Phase 2" through the post the other day (I originally downloaded it) - and I just sat there staring at it for ages thinking "Wow - this IS the final album." Sad.

.

Anyway - may Peach and Black continue to fly high with good vibes and incisive critique - and contact Paisley Park regards what I typed earlier, you never know...
