Prince version wins The fact that I didn't even remember she did it, should tell you enough. And I have that album! But The Voice is a very uneven album. The first half is Mavis singing songs written for her by Prince backed by the NPG and it's fantastic. In fact, I think they sound better here than on Prince's own albums! House In Order, The Undertaker, that's the sound of the NPG on the 1993 tour translated to the recording studio. The rest of the album is a mess. What's the point of redoing songs that have already been released on Prince's own albums? And the non-Prince songs sound totally out of place. [Edited 9/5/16 15:46pm]

Positivity is one of the very best on that album (if not the absolute best) and needs to get mad props around here!

Positivity is a perfect closing for a perfect album. As the music goes by you experience so many sonorities...that´s what I love about Prince; you never know which way the music will turn.
