Face it.
Y'all belong to P.
You've all earned your place.
Sure, we drool but we also discuss other stuff and disagree sometimes PEACEFULLY and like grown assed women.
And men only see the thread title and don't see anything but drooling.
Cabbageheads!
Meanwhile I saw something in my news feed about a new technique used by taking the female DNA and the male DNA and ADDING a 3rd party healthy mitochondrial DNA to...wait for it...PREVENT GENETIC DISORDERS in the baby. I immediately thought about Baby Ahmir and the huge possibility of what could of been and maybe P's life would've taken a different path. I sobbed.
I read that too yesterday. Was the genetic issue on his side? Don't know if it would've saved his marriage but he would've still been here for his child, he would've had another reason to live. Need me some fuzzy love....and yes, I wear clear heels |

Exactly. I learned 35 years ago that it's been liked to "advanced paternal age".
Gurl, I just couldn't control the tears. WTF.
Tragic, even after all these years. He'd have been just about to graduate college soon and in a few years P could've been a grandpa. Lawd. Bouncing a lil grandbaby (it' serve hm right to have gorgeous granddaughter to be overprotective over. ha ha) in a damned Snugglie, still sexy but retired to a residency at PP and teaching music to undepriviledged kids...I can't...

No, it would not have helped. . The new technique is specific to genetic disorders found in the mitochondrial DNA. We have 3 sets of DNA - a set of chromosomes from our mother, a set of chromosomes from our father and DNA in our mitochondria from our mother. This technique is for ladies with mutations of their mitochondrial DNA only. Pfieffer is not such a condition.
.
Also, twenty years ago P was in his 30's. He would not have been considered to be of 'advanced paternal age'.
I just reach for any slice of what looks like a glimmer of hope.
I know it's dumb and pointless...

Oh I don't think it's dumb. Wanting to be able to change something and make it different, it's so natural...I keep having fantasies of somehow being able to barrel into PP the weekend before and go all 'Mister you are not fine at all and I know you don't know me and I've just busted in here with my time machine but you are coming with me right this minute and you're not leaving my sight till I know you are safe' on his ass. When it goes down like this, when it could have been prevented, when any number of factors in a different arrangement might have changed the end...letting is be as it is is just so damn hard, and it will be for a good long while... Not like I love my guitar.... |

I dont know why you were barefoot but I think the dancing part was Prince's spirit helping you with something you are doing that you don't feel confident about. It could be anything in your life - internal or external. We'll just have to practice - love it. The colors and detailed recall push the dream towards what I call a visitation. Kind of a regular dream on steroids, extra special. Very good sign IMO. Your hero is backing you.
Thanks Purple Poppy, I am sorry I did not respond earlier. I will say he has visited me several times, I mean, truly a visit not in a dream state. I wish he would hang around a little more, because I've knocked off my diet and need to get back on that horse!!
Come on baby, I'm open and available for a visit.....(didn't mean to make it sound like that....well, yes, I did!!)
You go Sis - Strange, right around the time you wrote your dream I saw the purple medium reading on another thread. She said Prince kept talking about being barefoot, he was enjoying it.
My dreams started shortly after he passed when I was half awake thinking about him and very very upset. He straight up visited that morning. Now he comes around a lot and not just during dreams. Very intense dude. Brand new boogie without the hero. |

I'm an Amy Farrah Fowler fan! Her observations of the human condition are insightful yet at time devoid of any social context! Much like attempts to quantify a quality. Style is the second cousin to class |
