I remember seeing SignOtheTimes in a movie theater in LA when it came out. The manager had the sound cranked up so loud that all the seats were vibrating and the bass was thumping very hard into my chest! Love love love the Foreva/IT number. I know that most of the film was dubbed but it seems like this part was live. I could be mistaken tho. Anyway, its a great moment in the film! |

I just wish the guitar strumming was in sync with the footage... this is the most obvious of the faked overdubs for the movie. But outside of that it's great! The whole movie is shot and edited perfectly. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I agree with everything! Such a stellar performance! I have put this version on my phone - it's one of those ones I can never listen to just once! Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Always loved this version better than the studio version. Wonder what it would sound like. This arrangement but with Prince singing lead and background vocals harmonizing with himself instead of the Sheila E, Bonnie Boyer background. | |

Can you guys imagine if during tonight's MTV Video Music Awards they would show this as their tribute to Prince? It would be both shocking and wonderful. Especially, in between the Kanye West & Britney Spears performances! How would viewers react? How would today's "artists" performing at the award show deal with it? | |

I am in love with the performance of Forever In My Life/It in the SOTT film. It was hot back then, and still hot now. Ah wish I could have been in that audience for that actual performance!

I have always felt that those songs are the weakest part of the film because they go on for so long. But, there are many times that people have mentioned songs or videos on this site that caused me to take a second listen and I end up sharing the appreciation. I will take another look. I just got that DVD in the mail today. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R. | |
