If you could add one song to the Piano & a Microphone setlists what would it be?

Prince covered a lot of ground and the shows were more or less perfect, but imagine if he did "Power Fantastic." I think that would have to be my choice.

Any time the question is asked "add a Prince song to the setlist for (x) show" my answer is always Computer Blue. So, not wanting to deviate from that, my answer for song to be added to the piano and microphone setlist is Computer Blue.

Couldn't agree with you more. That song is perfect for such a tour, can't believe he didn't have it on the setlist!

Power Fantastic would have been my choice too - or Condition of the Heart with the long intro. Extraordinary was another I thought would have worked really well too. I got to see 3 of the shows so I do feel blessed for that.

Did he play When Doves Cry at any of the shows? He did every other song on PR except for Computer Blue and Darling Nikki.

Any song - as long as he's here to sing it.

Check out the first Paisley Park show. He ended the show with it. The version is 5:03.

My top three wish list was Electric Intercourse, The Ladder, and the Beautiful Ones. I got the last two.

I second that. When he did it on the ONA Tour, it sounded identical to the studio version. Almost eerie.

Not with piano, but he did perform When Doves Cry at the Perth aftershow. Sang the entire thing over the original instrumental playing off his laptop. The last song he ever performed in Australia. Madness. There's a recording out there.

Here's another question: what's you're favorite from the set list? It's hard for me to choose because they are all SO good. But if I had to pick I would say Thieves in the Temple. A close second would either be A case of You or Waiting in Vain. Whenever I listen to any of those shows I still get goosebumps.

The Sydney version of JOY IN REPETITION from the 2nd show is among the most haunting pieces of music I have ever experienced. AMAZING.

I find myself listening to Purple Rain from the 2nd Paisley Park show and Indifference from the 2nd Atlanta show the most. There is so much emotion in his voice.

I agree on the goosebumps. So many highlights for me;
.
Love..Thy Will Be Done (Sydney, 20th Feb)
Purple Music / Free Urself (Sydney 21st Feb)
Little Red Corvette (from the same show where he says 'look at that dress you know you can't breath, I'm not complaining just saying...you can't breath!)
I Would Die 4 U / Baby I'm A Star (Atlanta 14th April)
Girl (Atlanta)

Remembering these shows got me thinking about the Morning Joe program on MSNBC a day or two after Prince passed. The blowhard host Joe Scarborough said that Prince didn't have many hit songs like Stevie Wonder did and would mostly be remembered for his musicianship. I almost spit out my drink when he said that.

So many media folks made me sick after Prince passed. It was like they knew everything about him and had been hardcore fans for years, when in reality they knew nothing and probably hadn't listened to a Prince song since The Most Beautiful Girl.........
