I'm interested in your thoughts. There are a lot of rumors floating around, I'm also wondering if anyone believes any of it.

Well, we have definitely been through several periods already where it felt like "the end of Prince as we have all come to know him" - the breakup of the Revolution, the name change, the JW conversion, etc... and we all got through it okay.

I would be pissed, because I've never made it to a Celly but I would just wish him well as usual.

i don't like it but we still have "The Music". i'd start SERIOUSLY investing in some BootLegs.

No Paisley Park? .. I'm not able to go to the Celebration anyway so I probably wouldn't care too much, though I hope he does a celebration so the people who can go there would have a great time! .. No NPGMC 2003? Well I hope he'll start a new membership.. but I wouldn't die if he didn't!!.. But Paisley Park.. no no no!! He gotta keep Paisley Park!!

I would wish him well and hope he is happy in his life, and I'd be grateful to him for ALLL the gifts he and his music have brought to me over they years

...memories of wonderful times and sad times, a myriad of emotions I've experienced both directly and indirectly due to his music - joy, sadness, excitement, happiness, hope, strength, nostalgia, and on and on and on and on.

But I would also be very sad to realize it was all finally 'ovah' (if it is, which in this case I am skeptica about). Just like I feel sad when I think back on old friends and loved ones who are gone from my life now, and I miss them so very much and feel like there will always be this little empty hole in my heart where they are supposed to be...at the same time I remember 1,000 happy memories of them, and I feel the good memories all over again in my mind just as real and vividly as the moment they actually happened..and I am grateful that I was blessed to have experienced them all in the first place.

If things really are over now, and Prince has moved on to another phase of his life and the music and parties and Club and tours and Celebration are all only wonderful memories, I will feel a pang of nostalgia and sadness. But then I will go put on a CD, or a video, or take out the pictures in my mind and go through them and I will feel happy and lucky and remember that no one can EVER take those away from me, and I'll thank him for that.

Things change, and things end, and people move on. But if they're still there in your heart, they're not ever really gone or far away.

I don't have the kind of money it takes to purchase bootlegs, so I never buy them... BUT, I'm sure people could very easily have one person buy the boot, and copy it for a bunch of others at a reduced rate. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I suppose.

If anything, the rumours suggest that Mani is expecting a baby. Given what happened first time round, I can't imagine why satisfying the NPGMC's demands would be on Prince's mind. The fact is, it clearly isn't and rightfully so. If the rumours are true, I hope we have a lot longer to wait. The music will be that much more soulful if we do...

Prince has been spotted around Toronto a few times over the past few months. I believe that Mani is pregnant and they are spending their time here in TO mostly because some of Mani's family and friends live in TO. I also believe that he won't sell Paisley Park ever! He deserves some time off. He doesn't have to be working all the time. Now that he's hopefully found real happiness with Mani, perhaps he actually wants to work less and spend more time with his wife. Speaking of Mani...I absolutely hate it when reporters like CJ refer to her as his wife, but the word wife is in quotes. He's married to her whether anyone wants to believe it or not. She is his wife!

If so (which I doubt) we have had a great 25 years so we can’t be upset or bitter. It would be such a shame to let such talent go to waste because he really is at is highest.

If he was planning on throwing in the towel I’d want him to do at least one more album first. If he’s remembered for the last thing he did I wouldn’t want it to be his chill out album. I’d want it to be a fantastic celebration of life and music. A gold experience or Rainbow children type album.
