Question about IEMs Dumb question, but did Prince wear in-ear monitors on stage? There have been a lot of on-stage pictures posted, and either he didn't wear them, or they blended in really well/were small enough to not notice.
Most musicians do wear them, and I am wondering why Prince didn't (at least all of the time...).
I'm just curious. Again, dumb question.

I'm actually curious about this as well. So many people use them, and obviously, have advantages over on-stage monitors. However, I never saw huge monitors for Prince, and have never seen (to my knowledge) IEMs. I'm just wondering how he's hearing things correctly and clearly over time. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I seen a few pictures of Prince using screens for his lyrics. In the One Nite Alone video he us wearing a fairly noticeable earpiece, if I'm referring to the right thing 😉

I have seen him wear them sometimes but then seen him return to stage without them More often than not I think he didn't use them I believe he used fold back on stage - especially side-fill as I have heard him mention these to the sound guys The Hop Farm gig is a great one to watch as he uses his first song (jam) as a sound check, telling the sound guys how he wants the sound on stage during the song

I've seen them during ONA and that is actually the only tour I can remember seeing him using them. Produced, Arranged, Composed & Performed by PRINCE

Was wondering tha the other day, it's as if his ears were immune to loud sounds because I never have seen him wear them, yet he heard EVERYTHING......turn the snare up, turm the treble down, turn the side fills on the guitar up, etc, etc, etc. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013
