We discussed this song in another thread under Prince's Saddest songs. Maybe it is a gender thing but the loneliness and desperation in this song break my heart. Instead of him waiting to be more intimate with his girl I find it to be a lot darker.

To me, it's very sad and sexy. The beginning of the song makes it clear she's not with him/Camille but with someone else. Plus it devolves from this fantasy of togetherness into one sided phone sex.
