I should add that - when I was listening to the interview with the ST reporters on Minnesota Public Radio - they said the October concert is to benefit the estate to pay the tax(es) due. They did not mention any of the money going to charity.

Is the estate cash poor? He has all that property - property taxes, certain areas like cities require some sort of upkeep like lawn and weatherization.. Hmm? ~Live Free ... Rolling Stone said that, at the end of his life, he had an assistant, a groundskeeper and no security at PP. That did not sound right to me, but does anyone know the truth? He did have Kirk, Romeo, Meron (sorry - don't know her proper name - the assistant), and there must have been security of some sort, otherwise fans would be overrunning the place. The lack of an entourage on the plane the previous week may be a clue to his 2016 staff. Various reports after he passed away said his finances were a mess for a long time - years if not over a decade, since the Musicology tour. But he never kept advisors he trusted long enough to keep them straight.

Other than Tyka & 2 a lesser extent Omarr, In 30yrs I haven't heard anything of the other sibs. Alfred was in hospital, said he hadn't spoke 2 P in 15yrs. He came across as a sweetheart with lots of love 4 P. John's kids, I always got the impression P had nothing 2 do with them. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I agree with all of you. This october 'tribute' is not for the fans or his memory. It's to sell tickets. I also think the memorial goodie bags being shown was a sales tactic/preview of the items that will be for sale in October. People are already falling for it, saying they hope they sell them. I love you baby, just not like I love this guitar.~Prince~

This has been the hardest thing to deal with, the fact that he died alone. No one cared enough to spend the night, after all he'd been through the previous week. it's so hard to believe this loving, caring man had no love in his life. I love you baby, just not like I love this guitar.~Prince~

Lol with her appearing to be his closest sibling I'm sure they talked about it over the years but still you would think that somebody would've at least though about his fans. Some of us really and truly loved Prince as a person and the way all this played out is truly undeserving of someone who brought joy to so many.

If they need to sell merchandise then just tell us that...some of us want them anyway, but to make us pay to attend the memorial then buy the merchandise is just wrong.

Security (full detail) only on events - but the staging here is that Romeo was in Texas that week on vacation and he sent everyone else home. Who the hell goes home after making grave emergency calls? I'm taking u to Betty ford!! Why hasn't the estate disclosed how much he made on the short P&M tour? Where are the other 2 vaults? Idk this whole thing is wonky at best - leaving no will made sure essentially his heirs won't get much of nothing as the attorneys get paid first and they are all on retainer ~Live Free ... It's appears that it is _No, he was sitting on 50 million in Real Estate and he had royalties from his songs. He may have other investments. People in his income break it are not usually liquid. He was really smart about his Real Estate investments. It looks like he was running a whole another business. [Edited 8/18/16 12:46pm]

To be honest, am not really concerned about the other properties...Except for Paisley Park, the PR home (and the Toronto mansion just because it's sooo Princified inside), I don't have an attachment to those other properies. I think if it's necessary to let some of those go in order to preserve PP and PR home then so be it. Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Agree with a lot of the posts here. Still seems fishy, don't buy into how this went down ...poor Prince :-( There's times I start to feel sad for his family they seem to be doing thoughtful things but then something just seems a bit off... Someone posted early on follow the $$ I still agree.

This is going to be hard to swallow for some fans but at least some of the on-goings of the behavior of Prince's siblings, lawyers and numerous people filing bogus claims to be named heirs in the estate in probate court is on Prince. There's a reason why things like insurance and estate wills exist. For decades Prince could have EASILY drawn up clear and concise instructions on how he wanted Paisley Park Studios to be operated, who would inherit his possessions when he die, what to do with his vaulted recordings etc. He had access to the best lawyers money could buy and those legal documents could have been iron clad. Also, people act like Prince was ALWAYS fan accessible and did things strictly for the fans. Remember "P.F.U.N.K."? Suing 22 people for $1 million each before he dropped the suit? Issuing cease and desist orders on Housequake.com for alleged copyright infringement. Prince in life just like Bremer Trust, Londell Mcmillian, Charles Koppelman, Tyka Nelson etc are doing the best that they can to exploit Prince's properties to maximize the value of assets and minimize liabilities. Fans don't have to deal with the burden of sorting out Prince's finances, the family does. People forget that no matter how close or distant Prince's relatives were to Prince-there STILL HIS FAMILY and were there long before a single fan on this site knew who Prince was. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR
