Prince interview 2004-Musicology Gotta watch if you haven't already. Prince tells Maria he is grateful for the love of his fans because music is a hard business. He talked about growing up and maturity and responsiblity. Attributes a lot to the 911 tragedy and in context to that event, you can hear him talk about what that kind of soul searching did for all of us. At least for a little while.

An excellent interview until he hassles her at the end! She reminds me of Mayte a bit. Prince Interview with CNBC TV Anchor Maria Bartiromo 2004 "Hold on to your souls y'all. We got a long way to go. Thank you! We love y'all!"

Yeah, I saw this -- I don't think Prince realized that not everyone is apt to just start singing at him.
Dude, I would have deliberately rewrote the lyrics. Just to mess with him back. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

Poor thing. You can see her falling under his spell

He could have had her follow him, like he did with his audiences. He sings and she joined him in a chorus, until she warmed up to what was happening. Like he would have (and I've read, did) with children. Maybe someone told him before the interview that she could sing. Oh well, surely a keepsake memory for her. "Hold on to your souls y'all. We got a long way to go. Thank you! We love y'all!"
