Despite Bart pissing on his fandom and knowledge, Anil Dash is a brilliant guy in the tech field, as been part of a lot of start-ups, and still continues to be part of the changing landscape of the tech field. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It's interesting to see how Prince was so well-rounded that almost any industry can do a story on him, especially since he's always got a great fan in every industry. Nice work, Anil. I can see you really loved Prince.

This was so fascinating. Could have listened all day to
That. Prince was truly decades ahead of his time in his technology used for connecting with fans and unique methods for delivering new music. [Edited 8/8/16 20:47pm]

Very interesting, enjoyed the history too. Aw & he got a bit choked up at the end there. Hey everybody, thanks so much for the kind words! As I hope was obvious, I wrote this talk for my fellow fans, to show the world how much Prince meant. I'm so glad you liked it.

I think a lot of us are going to spend the next few decades trying to explain to the rest of the world why he meant so much. This was wonderful, thank you. Not like I love my guitar....

Bart is the biggest douchebag on this board. Not one single person should give his comments any merit. (Insert something clever here)

One minor note. You should've mentioned prince.org in your presentation
Other than that, you were amazing!!!

Anil, this is a great presentation, thank you so much, I really enjoyed every second of it. I like your use of highways in the presentation and how you manage to intertwine Prince´s biography and the biography of you and your family and give us a little bit of a history lesson on Indians and Chinese people in the USA, black America and the history of the internet. What a great celebration and tribute. Amazing video! Very touching ending, too. Prince won.

I loved it! Prince loved us and we loved him right back. Thank you for sharing it with us! Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end

Anil, this is tribute is every bit as beautiful as BET awards, Bruce, et al. Thank you for sharing, not just your words, but your emotions. This speech is a must see. Add this as criterion for understanding Prince's legacy. Thank you thank you. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I just finished watching Anil Dash's presentation. Wow! Thanks Ufoclub for posting this. And to Anil, what a great synthesis of historical information on migration of peoples to the USA. It definitely wasn't an Ellis Island experience for some of us--and to hear about the revoking of citizenship from an innocent group of hard-working Americans...just...wow. But that is what we're trying to combat, cycle after cycle, over decades in our political cycles. Very cool to intertwine the history of building commerce networks both physical and virtual with Anil's own family's role taken in these ventures; Prince's visions for digital distribution, and geek-love for and proficiency of hardware tech; the continuum of enterprising musicians across the years; and those enthralling Prince Facts! I am glad that Anil Dash had the opportunity to connect with P. R. Nelson. > Only in recent years from reading people's testimonies on the org have I become aware of the extent that P. used the early chat sites to connect to people before his push into merchandising with telemarketing (I participated as a consumer), Love4oneanother (having an old-ass computer with no modem) and hitting it really big (IMHO) with the NPG Music Club. I'm impressed by all the fellow fans involved with the genesis of Web networking, and kinda' jealous that they had the opportunity to have that interaction. > And, yes, Prince won in the end. In the beginning of the battle he had to backtrack a bit to recoup the ground lost from his last industry contract in the 90s, but before he died was assigning Warner Bros. permission to distribute HIS music. > I hope that more people can get the message about what Prince was trying to do with his ban on Youtube exposure. You can't just go along with the media techies to get along, while so many agents of that network reap great profits from your productivity with no value added and pay out only a few cents.
