Minnesota is a marital property state. There's no way in hell she only walked away with $250K. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I can't stand her ass either. She walked straight to Eric's arms after taking advantage of Prince. She looks very manipulative. Prince I will always miss and love U.

That was a judgment she was awarded several years after the divorce. Most likely part of the property settlement he didnt pay so she went to Court and got a judgment against him. If he didnt pay she would be able to file a lien against one of his properties to guarantee her payment.

This means they gave the information to Bremer Trust and Bremer doesnt want it released for some reason. [Edited 8/16/16 14:11pm] I did, but I'm not a lawyer or in the legal field. So I wait for u & the other legal eagles to explain the "legalese"! R u saying a possible heir? Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move

I understand that people don't like Manuela for whatever reason. But personally I don't believe the Strib cares one lick about her. This is about Prince. They are digging into Prince's past, not hers. Info about her that they find is just happenstance because she was married to him. She is not famous outside of Prince fans (pretty diehard Prince fans at that). Whatever she got from him 10 years ago is just not newsworthy and not worth the price of their lawyer's fees.
And one charity can, in fact, donate money to another if said charity is closing up shop. I've been on the board of a non-profit that did just that. It's legal. If that's what happened.
I'm not defending her. His marriage to her ended long ago and P had moved on, whatever he thought about her in the end. [Edited 8/16/16 14:49pm] [Edited 8/16/16 14:49pm] [Edited 8/16/16 14:54pm]

My thing is this if this leads to Prince's fans actually knowing the truth about what really happened to him then so be it. So far all we've Got are bits and pieces that don't add up and shit i don believe. Prince's fans have really been ignored in all this and to me that's wrong. We supported him and his family for 30 years. I really believe it's about the money though.

I understand. I agree that it's more about the money than about the drugs (but of course I'm speculating...they did state in the paperwork that they were looking for info about his death), but I think it's more about what he disclosed in the divorce that the settlement between them.

So is the Star Tribune after a drug angle or not? I'm all confused now. Paisley Park is in your heart

They claimed that they are after it all. Some of us think it's more specific but they're just not saying...but officially, they're looking for anything.

You are certainly right! This is about that money! This has nothing to do with his death, drugs, or, whether or not he cheated on her or/vise-versa. Since there is no will, they want full disclosure of any and all financial instruments/debt instruments that can be contested/divided from any source that they can find. These are not grade school boys and girls performing these audits. These instruments must be categorized as debt, asset or collateral to satisfy his heirs and the state. Everything down to a fake eyelash/ pumps/g-strings must be accounted for. This is a customary audit when there is no will.
If you look at the filings after he was forced to close his charity , can that money cannot be accounted for at present? When it ceased to be a recognized as a 501c ,he didn't file bankruptcy for that company. Where are the assets? He may have had additional assets that were still co-mingled for the purpose of business. He was delinquent on a lot of tax matters in the past and I am sure the state had him red-lighted(IRS code). You better believe they want answers too. Do I dare say he was quite naive when it came to complexed financial matters? This is no secret. He had piss poor financial advisors and lawyers who had been bilking him with ledgers he never paid attention to.
I will bet the farm that they want to figure out if there were assets attached to their settlement and whether or not she is entitled to have any stake /liability in said assets/debt after his death. He was too trusting and got burnt every single time he tried to "help". He must've have echoed this a thousand times in his songs yet suffered from the dreaded "save-a-ho" disease. What a pandemic! I hope they find every red cent and make her account for it.

The newspaper questioned whether some of the documents in the divorce file would shed light on why he was taking painkillers, any potential heirs, or the value of his estate at the time of their divorce. The are digging for anything and everything.

yes i did understand that. endless twists and turns.
++ i would just like to say that if prince had been dependant on pain meds for 5 yrs that would be considered a longterm dependancy. it would also line up with the operation. no one except that dr. d cunt has suggested that prince spent 20 or 30yrs strung out. Prince #MUSICIANICONLEGEND
