I think your heart is in the right place, but as I see it fans supported Prince's endeavors and his family for over 30 years so I think we've done enough.

Thank you. I have more of a broken heart than anything. I wish I could go to PP and leave some flowers or something. I'm waiting it out to see if it turns into a museum. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

. Prince championed music education for young people. Donating to that would probably put a bigger smile on his face than paying the government. Your heart is absolutely in the right place, just not your $20.

. True, but Prince isn't MJ. .
. And only a few are relevant, i.e. his 1980s output. In fact, the vast amount of existing releases might be a hindrance, since they muddle the waters. .
. That seems a vastly overrated number. .
. True, but prior to his death Prince's catalog wasn't a big seller. .
. Nirvana and the Stones come with a lot of cool that is lacking from Prince's symbol. . That said, there is plenty of opportunity for money to be made. But billions? You cannot take MJ's numbers and multiply them, because flooding the market with product does the opposite of making money. Sure, Prince has hundreds of outtakes, but how do you present these? Collect them in Frankenstein-albums? Have them remixed to fit the current trends? Neither of those seem like a viable option to me. Deluxe, remastered and expanded albums? Sure, but again you can't flood the market. And such releases require a lot of upfront work, because if you do this badly, chances are you've ruined it for the next couple of releases. © Bart Van Hemelen

Let's all pay it off bit by bit fan by fan and show them (estate and family) that not only do we care about Prince, them, and Paisley Park, but that we want it as our memorial home to his legacy. Our Graceland/neverland. Where Prince can see us, and watch over us tributing him. Thank u for all u gave us Prince. We have to show that we want paisley park now and 4ever to carry on his musical legacy. His entire life's work won't be 4gotten! I think you're a very nice person with a heart that is surely generous. And I sincerely hope you don't read the posts of those here who have to turn every positve into a negative. Those people aren't worth your time.

Sometimes you need to THINK about what you're doing before doing it. [Edited 8/17/16 2:46am]

"Successful management" being the key here. That remains to be seen. A bunch of half and step siblings who maybe don't want any of the fuss, just show me the money. I have more than a few doubts about whether they will all be in agreement on how best to preserve his legacy, memory, or future earnings. As far as the OP it was a very generous, heartfelt gesture and idea. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Kopplemen's company is well known in the music community. I am sure he will do a good job. As far as the taxes I am sure the estate will have enough money to pay them and property does not get taken the minute the taxes are past due. You can usually work out payment arrangements. I also remember right after he passed someone on one of the MN newspapers said the state owed him a million in unclaimed money. So I am sure that can be used to help. Trust me Breamer is a wealth managment firm that Prince used for 30 years they know about his business.

Im pretty sure its taken care of. And im pretty sure there are better causes. Its a nice gesture of you, but you ask other people to do the same. I give my money to better causes.

A lovely gesture indeed, but like others mentioned, it money wasted as the sale of the properties and any leveraging of his catalog will pay for all of that and much more. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

But didn't Prince try to avoid "doing what everybody else is doing?" Tell me to walk the straight line and I put on crooked shoes. Dumb and insensitive commercialisation ( by greedy capitalists) of his image and music must have been a massive fear for him in the event of his death. He didn't even promote his own album releases in latter years. [Edited 8/17/16 14:16pm] [Edited 8/17/16 14:18pm] As equality grows, violence declines.

Well. Someone just pointed out to me that in the song Paisley Park is in your heart, Prince says taxes he will still have to pay I asked Prince what he was planning to do.
