I don't think he meant that there were used condoms literally there. I think it was a metaphor for her having previous partners (if she did have any previous partners).

I'm pretty sure it was about Vanity. He sang it at the Australian concert for her when he heard she had died. He was so heartbroken.

Sometimes it surprises me that people dont seem to consider that a song can b written with more than just one person in mind; or that its written with a specific person in mind but also can take inspiration from another person or situation. Im a long time published poet and i know i have written poems that take inspiration from more than one thing or person within a single poem. Sometimes even contradictory. Art is fluid and subjective and so much is imagination n transformation...and METAPHORICAL

That means nothing, songs are dedicated to people all the time that weren't written for the person the dedication is about.

Why dispute the facts in the article? As much as you force it to be about Vanity, it is not.

Something about this woman rubs me the wrong way. Now, she's promoting a forthcoming book about her being the inspiration for "Little Red Corvette." Why didn't she do this while Prince was still alive?
