My number one Prince friend (Chewymusic here) sent me a live clip of Prince being silly on stage the other day. I have been pretty sad since. I have been going to see Prince shows since the Controversy tour. When I was young, awkard and different (like we can feel as teenagers) Prince was my imaginary friend. No one knew of him or no one cared about him until Purple Rain. I was tiny and brown and so was he. He was my musical hero. My own little private joy.

After meeting chewymusic, sharing Prince was all the rage. We had great time. What an amazing person to follow. Even when he was obviously being a jerk or brat. I would still think, he could what the hell he wants "He's Prince!"

I write this here, non prince fans don't get it.

We need each other. This place is serious therapy.

I have actually known Chewymusic since 1987. He was walking down my street playing Prince on his boombox! I hope to see him soon.

I think that my be more than a year. I read an article today that Prince had 100 songs to choose from for Purple Rain.

I am with you on this one.. Prince has been a part of my life since the beginning of his career.. I will never get over him I feel like I have lost a dear friend. Sad day for me, watched several videos today and damn it hurts to much to speak the truth.

Ur profile says u are 36 & the Controversy Tour was in '82. Are u saying that u saw Prince was u were 2 years old??????

Does the age get upated? If they entered 36 when they joined and it doesn't update they are now 50 as their join date was 14 years ago!

Which 40 are those ? Roadhouse album is the only one i can think of .that and the original Rave album [Edited 8/14/16 23:48pm]

Not for me. For multiple reasons. Not the least of which being, Prince left no directive for his finances - if there was also no plan left for posthumous releases, anything the estate chooses to do with be guesswork at best. At worst, it'll be something like the MJ travesties like "Michael" or "Xscape."
