"the place where u r now does not require time" i believe the afterworld is outside of time. i like the idea that a lifetime is like a book that has a linear progression, and yet there is much more beyond this book when this story has been read... i feel like youthfulness focuses on one thing at a time, and focusing on many things at once is what makes time seem to speed up. prince seemed to be good at appreciating the quality of time instead of quantity, filling each moment with wonder to the max. how many average lifetimes of creativity did he fit into 57 years? i think more than many who live 100+years. if we were measuring quality, prince's lifetime is very rich. of course i want to see that face, that hair, that voice, that body so perfectly animated by his beautiful mind, to exist for a much longer time if it would please him, because he's so good at improving this planet, but his mind is still here at least and it will continue to create. seems like he believed in reincarnation, 'time' 4 a new story? flowing through the veins of the tree of life...purplemaplesyrup

Very well said.

Our life here on earth and the universe is a big mystery!! Why does Man look at the stars and seek answers? The quest for knowledge never ends. It is our nature to try to understand what we are part of. Maybe to help us grow and evolve. As equality grows, violence declines.

To me that does not mean it doesn't exist but that other ways of measuring it do. My intent is to understand why or how he could think it does not exist not to argue but try to get it. I am curious and never understood when Prince use to say time doesn't exist. Curious of others thoughts and will check out Einstein's words/writings on the matter I suppose time, as we know it, the clock and it's division of hours minutes and seconds is certainly a man made thing and when you think about it, yeah its very important for a lot of things but ultimately we are enslaved by time, always having to be somewhere or having to do something by a certain hour or precise time and abide by its rules, same can be said for the bigger picture, being days, weeks, months and years, I think Prince didn't believe in the man made concept of time and probably believed more in nature's clock and calender such as the seasons and moon phases, he was spiritually awake, and when you have an awakening it's a lot to do with dropping old beliefs and the illusion of time was just 1 thing of many he may have dropped. Just my take on it. All u haters need to recognize, if u cant c right through these lies, good gawd!

I like that thought. Very good analogy.

In Prince's world time didn't exist. I suppose when you own your own studio, have employees that follow your schedule, have a private jet at your disposal, chefs to make you food whenever you want, the ability to rent out places like movie theaters, etc. you could say that time doesn't exist. In the beginning, I think he shrugged off time because he was so young and energetic.
