I've always wondered exactly which versions of Just As Long As We're Together I have in my collection.

With the exception of the final release, this is what I have:

1976 Jelly Jam - Moonsound (2:05)

1976-77 Just As Long As We're Together - Sound 80 session without Jelly Jam (3:44)

1976-77 Just As Long As We're Together - Sound 80 session with count-in and Jelly Jam (5:51)

The shorter version is in better quality and the left/right channels seem to be reversed, but I'm pretty sure these two are identical. The difference in channels can be most clearly heard at around the 50 second mark when he's singing "Everything's alright," and again after 3 minutes with the synth parps. Assuming the shorter version without Jelly Jam is genuine (as opposed to someone just editing it out of the full version) and they are, in fact, identical, these should be from the Sound 80 sessions.

1977 Just As Long As We're Together (5:47)

In this one he sings, "I'll get the music, baby. You bring the wine," in a deeper voice at 1:13 followed by a different phrasing of "Just as long as we're together." There's also no "Woo!" at 1:42. The question is whether this is the test recording for CBS or Warner Bros. Perhaps it's impossible to know without having access to the master tapes, assumming they're properly labelled.

Is anyone able to confirm with certainty which version is which? Also, has the other test recording ever leaked?

I have to wonder how many times he rehearsed this song. I find it hugely impressive how closely he was able to replicate it in the studio multiple times.

After reading through the dance / music / sex / romance blog post, I'm pretty sure think some of these timings are either off or there's some variation in the speed of what's out there. The 2:05 Jelly Jam matches up with the Sound 80 sessions, not the Moonsound demos I originally thought. But the 3:44 Just As Long As We're Together (which actually ends at 3:39) is mentioned in the blog post as being version #1, i.e. the 3:34 cut. The 5:51 one corresponds to Sound 80 #3. And, finally, the 5:47 one, which I thought might have been from CBS or Warner's, appears to be #2 though it's listed as being 5:45 by scififilmnerd. In other words, all the leaks are from the Sound 80 sessions. I'm kind of disappointed, but I guess it's not suprising the test recordings have never come out. I wonder whether they were even stored away somewhere or ended up getting trashed.

As an aside, I was just listening to the 11 minute Just As Long As We're Together at the Omni, Atlanta in 1980. With the cheeky opening, "Is everybody wet?" and Andre's great bass playing right up in the mix, it's a memorable performance. In fact, is that the only live performance we have? I wish that new soundboard from 1980 - along with the other dates - would hurry up and come out.
