Best Prince extended versions (A and B sides) of his songs

There are many awesome extended versions of Prince's songs.

Please name your favorites including extended versions of cuts that were either A and B sides.

Here are SOME of the best:

"I Wish U Heaven (part 1, 2 and 3)"

"U Got The Look (Long Look)"

"Love or $"

"God (Love Theme from Purple Rain)"

"Thieves in the Temple"

"Hello"

"Little Red Corvette"

Even "Gett Off (Housestyle remix)" is great!

These are just some of the best.

You're on a roll lately.

For me, in no order:

Raspberry Beret (I love the effect on the guitar part)

7 Minutes Mo'Quake

Thieves In The Temple ("I'm holding on, the best that I can...")

Hot Thing (Extended Remix)

Let's Go Crazy (DUH)

Erotic City (a funk workout)

America (he did say "it felt good to play it keep playing it, hopefully it sounds as good")

Shockadelica (everything about it is genius)

I Wish U Heaven (obviously)

Alexa De Paris (not even 6 minutes, but the extra bits are so good)

Little Red Corvette (MAY DAY!)

❤️ or $

Mountains

Paisley Park

Pop Life

Violet The Organ Grinder

Gangsta Glam

...the list can go on. But most of the 80s stuff from 82 (when the remixes really kicked in) to 88 or so, were just golden. It was touch n' go after that, but still plenty of good stuff. Lots of "Batdance" remixes. I love the last 3 songs on the "New Power Generation" maxi single. And the whole "Cream" EP is one long journey of sounds, front to back.

I need to include "A Love Bizarre". The album version is like going to the funk gym. "The Glamorous Life" (Club Edit) is another.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

God, yes to Rasberry Beret! I love the extended version! Pop Life, Little Red Corvette, Erotic City, Mountains, Let's Go Crazy, Alphabet St., The Greatest Romance, She's Always in My Hair (the drums at the end are hyponotizing!) Really, all of them are exceptional.

They stopped somewhere around the same time that vinyl was taken over by CDs. That's probably the reason. Have we mentioned Thieves In the Temple yat? That's one of my faves.

The extended "Paisley Park" is my favorite. All the extra guitar work is just amazing. When I'm trying to explain to non-fans just how incredible Prince's guitar playing can be, I play them the beginning of this extended version.

If a new compilation album of Prince's extended versions was to be released this year, would it be a hit or not? Perhaps around the holiday season?

Well The Ultimate Prince is as close as we'll get to that.

The B's and extendeds are so obviously candidates for bonus material on new reissued multi disc collections of the Warners era albums at least. Crazy that they haven't been already.

Mountains - hands down.
