Purple Army: How do YOU plan on keeping his legacy alive? Whether or not the Estate does anything long term, there is only so much that they can or will do, and most of it will be local to Minneapolis. Since he has world-wide friends, will any of you contribute to your community in keeping his legacy alive in the future? How do you decide what his "legacy" is? Since he was a big proponent of "real music by real musicians", will you be supporting local buskers? free music lessons in schools or community halls? Or....? I'm just wondering what people will do once the memorials are behind us. God is my Sugar Daddy.

Here in Houston, TX his personal legacy is in no danger of going anywhere any time soon. There is an incredible community of Prince fans here. I always thought I knew a lot about Prince but compared to most of the community, I'm a piker. I am absolutely 100% postively sure that as long as anyone from the core Houston Prince community is alive, Prince's music and legacy will burn bright.

I plan on listening to every piece of music he created. There is so much I haven't heard and can't wait to discover. I also want to listen to all the people he mentored. I liked to see all the bands live that he was involved with and people he played with. Stevie Wonder, Sheila E. Mint Condition, Carlos Santana, Alisha Keys..there are a lot. Lastly, a bunch of us went to Spike Lee's Prince Born day..and he called it the first annual event. So I think I may be heading to Brooklyn NY every June. My kids enjoy Prince and I expect them to expose their children to him..or else they are out of the will! I hope to make it to PP. That would be my dream. I have to get there, and some day I will. Heck I only live in Massachusetts. So it's all doable. ..Hello, who is it?
Yes, this is a prettyman, Princey!

I am a teacher.
When you come into my classroom I have the movie poster of Sign O the Times on my wall.
Everyone I come in contact with will know who and what he was and what he meant to me.

Also a teacher! My students will be hearing 'Starfish and Coffee' a lot! (Elementary kiddos)
A sophisticated mass-produced cacophony of no-win situations that aren't right...

I dont think we have to do anything, Prince pretty much ensured his future legacy from his actions while he was with us. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013
