Does anyone know the name of the instrumental song in the beginning of the Sexy M.F. video?

Theres a clip of Prince shaving with a large blade and Mayte appearing and vanishing in the mirror behind him. I remember this was from BET, but I don't recall what the special was. Also, does anyone remember an early version of My Name is Prince that was circulating in the 90's? It had alternate lyrics.

I wanna say it's something from Goldnigga, but I am not sure. PrinceVault doesn't offer up any 411 either. I'd be interested to find out as well.

I'm not aware of any early version of My Name Is Prince, you might be thinking of the early version of Gett Off that was quite different from the later released version. I'm refering to the "Damn near 10 minute" version.

. Not an early P. version but there was a parody version 'My Name Is Bart' recorded for the second Simpsons album, "The Yellow Album" featuring Nancy Cartwright. . The Prince track only appeared on the promo version of the album - the general release was much delayed and MNIB had disappeared from the track listing by the time it hit stores. . Not even a promo, it was in-house and it leaked.

The special it was played on was Act 1 which was played before The Ryde Dyvine

I'm not sure that's what they're referring to. I'm hearing a jazzy guitar bit at the very beginning as the opening scene starts.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies. The clip of Prince shaving is from "Act 1" which was shown on BET. I forgot about that show, it was kind of a behind the scenes look at 3 Chains O' Gold. And yeah, there defintely was a version of "My Name is Prince" that leaked before the album came out. I had it on cassette and the quality was really bad, but I remember the lyrics were differenent. At the time there was a rumor that one of the lines in the song was "I've met madonna, and I'm not impressed." But I don't recall being able to make that out. I'm surprised this version never showed up on Work It 2.0 or any of those bootleg compilations. As for the song in the Sexy M.F. video, it's not from "Goldnigga" but it sounds a lil like "Goldnigga pt.3"

I'm just watching Sexy MF, the music at the beginning is familiar but I can't figure if it's because I know it from the vid or from something else
