On April 21, 1996 Prince almost died.

"On the morning of April 21, the palpitations grew worse and Prince drank wine to numb the pain. He consumed a full bottle and owing to his small body and fast metabolism, became intoxicated quickly. He also popped several aspirin. Whether he ate anything is unknown but in addition to being an incredibly light eater, Prince had recently embarked on a radical vegan diet that cut all animal products from his diet. The combination of alcohol, aspirin, stress and lack of sleep wreaked havoc on his slight five foot three inch, 125 pound frame. He was buffetted by waves of nausea and then began vomiting." - PAGE TWO

Now that we know the pills were hidden in "aspirin" bottles, this makes my previous read of this book all the more enlightening.... When I read it months ago, I thought "aspirin" my butt.

No judgment, just sad the pain addiction was so severe he needed to seek street drugs
