Favorite Prince Compilation Album? I'm a little bored atm so I started wondering what compilation album is everyone's favorite. I think it's interesting since each compilation album is different in tracklist and flow. I'm especially interested in new fans opinions (also would like to know veteran fans opinions as well haha). The Hits/The B-Sides >>> Ultimate >>> The very best of. The hits has the most replay value thanks to all the b sides and few unreleased songs. Ultimate is good for the extended versions but most songs are still the radio edits like on the hits. Very best of isn't worth buying unless you're a completionist. I hope we get a complete B sides and extended singles compilation in the future. | |

1. The Hits Disc 2 (Helped me in becoming a bigger fan) 2. Ultimate Disc 2 (Extended versions are just fun to listen to) 3. The Hits Disc 1 (Decent compilation) 4. Ultimate Disc 1 (Pretty much what has been heard before many times) 5. B-Sides (They are B-Sides for a reason. A few are good, others do nothing for me) 5. it's interesting how different we all are, if I made a 57 song compilation of my essential prince songs, our lists would overlap by around a dozen songs, but would definately include songs like Pink Cashmere, 7, Batdance, Dolphin, Theives in the Temple (whatever the long version is called), How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore |

Cool list . Just one song I havent heard - Velvet Kitty Kat. It sounds really dirty, what boot is that off. . Chose Ultimate mixes first as it starts with Lets go crazy extended and then has the superlative mixes for Lets Work (I;ll make u climb the walls) and Little Red Corvette (Darling there are things I want to do you that u WILL NEVER FORGET!), and all of it I love except the Cream remix, just dosen't work, they could have chosen better mixes off the Cream maxi single. . B sides 2nd as I got in 93/94, when I was still discovering Prince and had only a few albums and singles, imagine hearing Erotic City and She's always in my hair for the first time ever? - Wow Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name | |
