A great excerpt:

When asked when was the last time she talked to Prince, Cat said it was about a year-and-a-half ago when she was in the hospital. Cat, who was in a coma for 30-days, suddenly awakened one day after doctors wanted to pull the plug. When Prince called, she said the nurse answered the phone, but she was too weak to talk. Two weeks later he called again and they talked to each other.

She wanted to know how did he know she was in the hospital. “He said a lot of people reached out to him. He had my back. He was there all the time….”

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

.

That's exactly how Van Jones described him. When things were going well, you wouldn't hear from him BUT as soon as P heard you were in tough times, he was there.

.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

very sweet interview...he always had their back and I wish some of them would've had his back too in the end, but Cat has always been great.

what's wrong with cat that she keeps going into comas and such. did i miss that part? didn't the same thing happen to her this year around the time of P's death or was someone goofin on her FB page.

It is so inspiring how much she loved Prince and actually had her dreams come true. She was such a crucial part of the Sign of the Times era. It was such a magical time in Prince's career. Thanks for the memories Cat.

Thank you for sharing this. It never gets old, hearing what a simply lovely man he was. I know he wasn't perfect but there sure are a lot of stories like this, where he was right there in the clutch for friends and strangers alike. And with his penchant for privacy, you know they've got to be just the tip of the iceberg. heart heart heart

I was wondering the same...she seems to be always sick. I feel bad for her that she is constantly dealing with health issues.
