Thanx 4 the link. If you ask me, this information is incorrect. In my recollection, the show ended when P was behind his piano when a ton of water came down on him and the piano, because the wind came underneath the plastic sheeting, causing the water to drop on top of him.
So when he was behind his piano, it must have been either during The Question Of U or Ain't No Way/Nothing Compares 2 U. And we all know it wasn't during The Question Of U because everyone went crazy during that song and the guitar solo that followed. So that leaves with Ain't No Way/NC2U. Rosie did the leads on Ain't No Way so that leaves us with only NC2U. I'm not saying the show lasted for only 20 or 30 minutes, but it wasn't any longer than 50-60 minutes. I asked my friend who I went to the concert with back then and he says the same although he thought it was during Do Me Baby. Don't know, could be. I only remember it was during a ballad and it was so early in the evening that the sun wasn't even remotely setting (okay it was raining heavily but still broad daylight). After the guy from Mojo Concerts went on stage to tell us that P was on his way to his hotel, the whole stadium started singing 'hij is een hondelul' (not suitable for translation btw ). The next day the papers were full of comments about P leaving early. There wouldn't have been so much racket if the concert would have lasted for 80 minutes. And then there's the tapes I had that were totally different from what is circulating nowadays. I'm so sure about it. Anyway, long story. I'd like to know if you were there that night and what your recollection is? Because I really can't remember the show went on up to BIAS? But now you make me doubt myself (a bit). I really have no idea what song he was playing when t he show stopped. But i know for sure it was noweher near a natural ending. [Edited 8/18/16 14:55pm]

Ah, thanks 4 your comment. I will give my current cd of that night a listen. Because the DAT intro on June 2nd failed: the intro was done when The Future started and during the first notes of the song, the DAT intro started all over again by mistake (the guy responsible was probably fired ). I'll check it this afrernoon. 'Liberate My Mind'

Oh hell, it sure was. Me and my friend went berserk on the guitar solo. Watched the Tokyo show last night and with video footage it's even better.
All the flashing lights that night in de Kuip on the rhythm of the beat were so cool. 50,000 lighters going on and off. Fantastic! Anyway, I checked my recording in the meantime and the fault with the DAT intro during The Future is not there. So it must be the 3rd. Can we rename this thread Please?? I've only heard the recording from the 29th but I would definitely describe it as excellent imo, sure it's not a soundboard recording but for an audience recording from the 80s it's pretty damn astounding. It also contains a really rare performance of Dorothy Parker and is well worth seeking out. Apparently the recording from the 30th is similarly excellent in quality but I can't comment on that. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Maybe not all the final shots come from that evening, it could be half Minneapolis half Paris, but still, The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter

Also, for years we thought that the only footage from the Parade Tour (outside of Cobo) The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter

bonatoc said: Also, for years we thought that the only footage from the Parade Tour (outside of Cobo) I remember this too: same with short excerpts on Dutch TV from the Lovesexy and Nude shows in Rotterdam. There must be more footage available. Although on the other hand, some networks were allowed to shoot some footage and mostly they were given 60 seconds or so to do it. 'Liberate My Mind'
