Here in Nashville: The first couple of months after his passing it was pretty common. The last month or so anytime I tune into Mix 92.9 or JackFM 96.3 which would typically be where you would more apt to hear his music played on commericial radio, it is rare to hear any of his music played.

Am with you on that , very rarely you hear it on any stations in the UK. I only listen to the radio sometimes in my car. I always take a playlist on a long car journey with Prince and my other fav artists. cool

Yes, and it's not like he never toured here... shrug
Playlists are definitely part of my travel essentials too, car or otherwise. jet

I completely agree with all of the above. I don't listen to a LOT of radio, but when I do have it on or am in a place where it is playing in the background, I almost never hear Prince. Lots of Madonna, U2, Michael Jackson, Take That, Coldplay and so on and so forth from the classic years, but I've noticed no pick up in Prince airplay since his death.

Same as you guys, I do my own playlists and listen to them most of the time.

Just a footnote on radio airplay in the U.K. I spent a week on a car share going to work when my car was in for maintenance, and the woman I was in with listens to Smooth FM. I defy you to turn on that station at any time during the day and NOT hear a song written by Barry Gibb inside of 15 minutes. If it isn't a Bee Gees song it's Islands in the Stream or some other tune he wrote for other artists. And don't get me started on 'Guilty' by Streisand. It seems to be on every single day. But no Prince sad
