Did Prince and his lawyers shutdown DTTlyrics.com or Did they close up shop on their own?

They were convienent with all of his lyrics in one place.

I don't know why the lawyers would have a problem with lyrics being posted when a lot of other sites still have lyrics, at least from the official songs.

I used to be on the DTT team for a long while. I can assure you that not lawyers, nor anything close, ended DTT, nor were we pressured. Ted ended it on his own..

However, I am trying to encourage him to get it back up & going. You can use Archive.org's waybackmachine, and find cache of it to reference. Go back to 2008 or so, and go from there.

haha no. Not employeed. Even before I was there, it started as a labor of love, and continued as such when he pulled it down a couple of years ago. I think a lot of us had lost some interest in it, because we were disenchanted with the music. We lost some connection with it for a while.

I talked to Ted today, and said "DTT needs to come back". His response was "yes". So - hopefully soon.

Thanks. Just noticed that. I've been balls deep in show planning & prepping the last few days, so my brain is mostly elsewhere. Fixed it.
