You're kidding right? Did you read the part about abuse being passed down? I personally knew Duane Jr, so yeah I do think that some of his issues were related to both his father and John. He spent a lot of time with John as a kid, and honestly, John was an A-hole. He really was not a nice person. Why do you think P had such an on again off again relationship? The thing is a child's love for their parent supersedes all the bad in the long run.

Well I believe you about John L for years we have been getting bits and pieces about him being an ass. Some of which came from Prince's own mouth yet many fans think he was making things up or trying to get attention. We know that when P was young he was no bowl of cherries to be around he got that crap from someone but appears to have been able to get it together later.

Sad to hear that Duane Jr was abusive and committed suicide as the court docs are out to show that Duane Sr. was physically abusive toward women. Could have been passed down and maybe a combonation of mental health issues over the course of generations

i'm sure his past drug abuse didn't help. he was seriously on coke for years. very sad indeed. i have never heard of people dying of gastro-intestinal distress though. does that mean an obstruction or cancer, gallbladder.... ?weird and sad.

Apparently, he had put on a lot of weight over the years ( this came from CJ so take that with a grain of salt) he could have had a bowl blockage which can kill you. His daughter said in the court papers he had become a recluse so could have been ill and just not willing to leave the house for medical attention. Who knows what effect the coke use had on his body. The sad thing is he was found in his apartment after a few days. Both brothers died in their 50s and alone.

You are right about that. There was awhile there that P was quite the jerk himself. I know a lot of people aren't going to want to hear that. But people around here, and people with connections to his circle know this for a fact. In the 90's he was a rotten brat! I love P to pieces, but I'm not going to pretend he wasn't a sassy bitch at times! He became much better as he got older. I think a lot of the way he acted was trust issues, and some of it was abuse of power. It went to his head for awhile. Still love him tho.
