What would Prince do between same-night shows? I'm watching a concert DVD of him and wondering that.
Hang out in his dressing room alone or with friends or band members? Maybe eat something? And what would he do between encores? Stand right off-stage with his band? [Edited 7/28/16 20:00pm]

Knowing Prince, between encores he was having sex....probably. Baby, you're a star.

When he did two show in one night, he often spent the gap on soundcheck. A total professional. I was lucky enought to stay in the venue a couple of times and he would let the cleaners do their thing but continue to tweak the guitar pedals. He was happy to chat while he was doing it, as long as he didn't think you were an 'obsessive'. He was always ultra polite. A true gentleman. .

John Blackwell (former drummer) said that P used to play table tennis (ping pong) between encores.

I've always wondered this. Thank for the topic!

That was the one good thing about the newbs - they'd think the show was over, giving the rest of us the opportunity to move closer to the front b/c we knew that mf was coming back out & he's chillin', beating people at ping pong while we're sweating & hoping for MULTIPLE encores is ping pong that fucking fun?? It doesn't seem like it

I don't know what he would do typically. I do know what he did in Montreux 2009. He went back to the hotel and watched the footage from show one, before coming back and doing show two.

I think I read somewhere that he pretty much watched every show (not sure when it started, but eventually it became his pattern, maybe it started in the 80's?). Dude was soooooo dedicated, always looking to improve.

That's the show I'm watching - Montreux (2009). Prince watched his shows back regularly, often immediately after the show. There is the account from one of his coach drivers where he said Prince would often watch the filmed concert back before the coach would even leave the venue. A true professional and perfectionist to the fingertips!

It doesn't seem like it Table Tennis is The Dog's Bollocks man. Have whiled away many days and evenings playing. My dream would've been to have had a couple of sets with him. I reckon I could done. I love talking smack when I play too. Noticed in the New Girl ep tho that he still plays to the old rules (as do I). Matches are now to 11 not 21. The psychology of the game is a round the scoring in TT, 11 just doesn't do it for me. . And I feel really upset now as I've realised exact same thoughts and feelings, really specific ones me and P must have shared in playing TT. Like scores at 18-18 and you're against serve, hoping for the win or to get it to 20-20. Aw. Miss our little P. [Edited 7/29/16 3:24am] Comin str8 outta Preston...
