If you have been a serious Prince fan/watcher you can tell that he was battling a sickness. They said that he had gone to the hospital with sepsis. The dependency to pain meds is secondary here to something else that he was battling. It may have not caused his death but it was there.

the sepsis is news to me, but i've always believed there was an underlying condition, undiagnosed or otherwise. and yes it was clear in his appearence during the last 15 months or so. it's easy to wither away with his schedule at his age but his face was so drawn since that nye pic. so so sad.

I agree totally. I was so surprised the chef commented - and I read his wife did, too - but since those words they have apparently said nothing. At least they were honest.

I'm still going with the big C.

I didn't pay attention until after his death, but all these recent pictures with his face drawn in and him looking frail at the Wizards game and a show he did for Michael Jordans party and the picture at Electric Fetus. Dressing from the neck up. I can see him trying to hide this without telling anybody (except for a few close people) for fear it will make the tabloids and TMZ. He wanted to keep his "business" his "business".

I think Judith didn't tell the whole story is out of respect for him and his family, if his family/musical family and Londell, Van or Kirk didn't say anything she probably figured she shouldn't either. As you saw on the recent tread she was attacked for saying anything and I still say I'm glad she said something because I was one of the fans/orgers that wanted to know what happened. I'm still grieving that he left us unexpectedly and that he died on an elevator "alone" even though being alone was HIS choice. When Judith spoke it gave some closure.

I agree about the tour. When I first heard the Paisley Park show and he sang "Baby" it shocked me because I have never ever heard him perform that song live. I wondered was this song fiction or was there an episode where he could've been a teen father. Plus it was nice to hear him sing

"Who's loving you". When he was getting personal on these shows I wondered what this was about.

Now we know.

I'm with Toure when he said the reason why Prince didn't bother with a will is because why bother when I'll be dead. I won't be here to control anything so I'm not gonna let anybody else. So I'll just let my family fight it out. Toure said Prince and his family wasn't close so therefore his masters and everything was foreign to his family. They wouldn't know anything about his business and I believe especially with the close part. Before his death I only knew Tyka and Sharon. I had never heard of his brothers Alfred, John Nelson Jr or Omar or his sister Noreen.

If you (general you, ofc) loved and cared for the man, you'd mine your own business. What Prince was going through is what HE was going through. People keep pointing to his frailness, weight loss. Drug abuse can lead to weight loss, severe cases sometimes, especially going through withdrawal. So his weight loss doesn't mean there was another illness.

He didnt leave a Will becasue he was the Least Bit interested in what he had done...

His body mind and soul were NOT weighed down by any attachements to this material word...

those last P&M Shows had more iconic/spiritual Imagery than anything he had done before....

He was not bothered by what he had done, he was about what he was doing....
