The song "Peach" - my new favorite! I went back on the org to read about this, but I couldn't pull up the old posts. I am a rock chick, and I adore this song. Let's just say my neighborhood could hear it yesterday blasting out of the Bose in the kitchen ... I am so sorry I never saw him play it live. |

It's in my top 20 P tunes, so it's up there. If i make a playlist for someone it always gets in there somewhere! |

One of my all time favorites. I loved it the first time I heard it back when it came out. Alway thought it would be a perfect strip tease song If you are a rocker here are some really good ones. You probably know them all, but if not give them a look...
Peach (obviously)
Loose! (Come Album)...this one is pure awesome. Has a techno (Prodigy) vibe
Whole Lotta Love - Live
When Doves Scream (unreleased)
Lets Go Crazy
Computer Blue
Endorphinmachine
Temptation
America
Zannalee
Dreamer
Erotic City (Live version...it's rockin')
Darling Nikki
Bambi
Dolphin
I Like it There
Chaos and Disorder
God is Alive Reprise Version (all guitar, no words, but it's rocking)
I might have missed some..anyone want to add?

Yes. Forgot about 3rdEye Girl. To me (and this is MHO only), the Lotusflow3r (besides Dreamer) has lots of use of guitar, but for a harder rock fan, it's more of a mellow use of guitar. There is a lot of great guitar on there, dont get me wrong, but as far as something more like Peach, it's a different vibe. Dont you think? But still great adds!
I made a rock CD for my brother because he likes Hard Rock and told me that he didnt think Prince was considered "rock" ....uhhhhhh what? I told him he was crazy and made him a couple cd's of his most hard rocking stuff. "Put on your boots Alfred...let's go!" |

I really wish he had veered away from the bandleader/funk stuff at the end and gone more hard rock. He could shred, though. I blasted "Peach" again at 5:45 this morning. Wake up, neighborhood! |

Dreamer is the only Prince song that totally reminds me of the hard rock I grew up on in the 70s I'm the same age as him, so perhaps it was a tribute to that era. |

I love Dreamer! It's a funky little number. Very Jimmy Hendrix. "Put on your boots Alfred...let's go!" |
