Very distinctive and just funky 
It kinda takes you back to a special time in Prince land 
when you hear it

Always has been one of my top favorites, it was actually the very first song of his I listened to after 4/21. I love the studio version, but the '84 Birthday show version is so good. I can't sit still when I hear it. We warmed up to this during Mayte's dance class this past weekend. Her first time playing P in any of her classes so far. From now on, 4 U I shall be wild 💜 | |

I listened to the Birthday show version and the studio version side by side and yes the Birthday show version is very good. The whole Birthday show is one of my favorite live performances from start to finish but I never singled out 17 days before. The other live versions I have heard all seem to be shortened. Now this song is running through my head | |
