To answer the question though, probably "Wasted Kisses" is my favorite. Used to be "The One" but that was my wedding song and I recently got divorced so I don't like dat' one no' mo'.

Yeah, it was just a weird time period for Prince and the Prince fans. This amazing talent that gave us DM, Cont, 1999, PR, ATWIAD, Parade and SOTT was recklessly sabotaging his career with weird behavior and uninspired music. All to fight a record label that had pretty much given him whatever he wanted, with the exception of market saturation. His albums became 'Wasted Releases'...lol.

I've always said I liked NPS, always since the day it was released. Now, I accept it's derivitive, treading water and has that plastic Emancipation type production that a lot of people, including myself, don't like - but still, I like the a lot of the songs on that album and there is also a certain amount of rose-tinted glasses about it since that was a good time for me, especially as a Prince fan.
