Delete . He loves Neil Young, Radio Head, David Bowie, Human League, Eurithmics, Annie Lennox, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Morrissey, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Jane's Addiction, Pet Shop Boys, The Cars, and I don't know what all else. . I am trying to give him a titillating taste of Prince, and if he likes it, he go full on by himself. . He already owns Parade and Sign O' The Times. He has heard 1999, Purple Rain and ATWIAD but that's it. I am trying to avoid songs that he might have heard on the radio. R&B and Funk aren't styles that he listens to yet.

You forgot 'Around the World in a Day' - and I'd recommend 'Paisley Park' from that one (very Beatles-esque)! .
My current favourite song - can't stop listening to it - is one of his ThirdEyeGirl collaborations, 'Another Love' (from 'Plectrum Electrum' - yes, it's a cover, but he totally made it his own). If your friend likes rock music, it's a great guitar-driven track. Forgive me - I can't remember if you had, 'Empty Room' on your list - fantastic track; again very 'rock-orientated'.

Love Symbol: 7 was a single, Love 2 the 9s is a must The Black Album: ROCKHARD IN A FUNKY PLACE (!!!!!) Crystal Ball: Calhoun Square, how dare you Rave Un/In: Man O' War remix, Beautiful Strange

I'd also add, if your friend is a rocker (as you seem to imply) - from P's debut album 'For You', the track 'I'm Yours' - a guitar masterpiece!

. If I was going to include another song from Controversy it would be "Do Me Baby" or "Let's Work" I listened to "17 Days" a couple more times but I like "horny Toad" better. I listened to "Vicki Waiting" a couple more times too, but honestly, I don't think that I am going include anything from Batman. I really like "joy in Repetition" but I don't think that my friend will. I think that you are right about "Calhoun Square" though. Thanks. I'll listen to the rest of those songs soon. Right now I am listening to the whole of "Crystal Ball" again. [Edited 7/24/16 20:45pm] "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Donald Trump

. It is not that stupid of a thing to say. There are lots of gay men married to women. But if it bugs you I'll change it. . "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Donald Trump

It might be helpful if you tell us what kind of music he does listen to. You might get more suggestions. How many CDs are you giving him? Are you dividing them up by era? By theme? Random? If he doesn't listen to funk, it might be a slight challenge as taking the funk out of Prince is like trying to take the gay out me.

I plan on cramming all of this on two or three or four CD's in the order that showed above. [Edited 7/25/16 18:52pm] "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Donald Trump

Thank you for that. Some suggestions: I would change your order up a bit and actually remove most of those out takes as they don't really add much. If you want out takes in, I would recommend 'All My Dreams', ''Empty Room', 'Moonbeam Levels', 'I Wonder' and 'Wonderful Ass'. It might also be cool to include 'Strange Relationship' with Wendy & Lisa's contributions. Here are other suggestions: Comeback - The Truth Reflection - Musicology Love -3121 In This Bes I Scream - Emancipation Crucial - Crystal Ball Dolphin - The Gold Experience And of course: Elephants & Flowers I hope this is helpful. Oh - and definitely keep Alphabet St in there.

. Thanks for your input . Okay, I'll leave Alphabet Street in there . Your other suggestions are good, particularly the one about adding "Love" from "3121" . [Edited 7/26/16 16:09pm] "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Donald Trump
