We now know which of those who'd claimed to be potential heirs to the humongously valuable Prince estate are legit. Bremer Trust, the special administrator of the estate, has determined that the six siblings and half-siblings are the same people listed as Prince's only heirs in the original paperwork filed by full sister Tyka Nelson seeking a special administrator for the estate in the absence of a known will, USA Today reports.

Along with Tyka, the lucky winners are Sharon, Norrine and John Rodger Nelson, the children of Prince's father during his earlier marriage to their mother, Vivian Nelson;Alfred Alonzo Jackson, the son of Prince’s mom Mattie, born during her earlier marriage to Alfred B. Jackson; and Omarr Julius Baker, the son of Mattie andHayward Julius Baker, though it’s unclear whether the two were married at the time.

All, according to Bremer Trust, are Prince's half-siblings as a matter of law, meaning no genetic testing is required to establish their relationship to Prince.

It isn’t yet known what appointed co-executors L. Londell McMillan and Charles Koppelman are planning or considering in their efforts to exploit the Prince brand.

MY POST SAID UK BECAUSE 4 SOME REASON WHEN IT WAS ON ESTATE WHERE IT BELONGS.SOME SAID THEY COULDN'T READ IT.SO I PUT IT THERE FOR THE TIME BEING.

If you read the entire article, there are more claims that have to be reviewed including other siblings, neices and possible kids. I read it twice just to make sure. These 6 don't need to have a DNA test they are in because there is a known relationship.

WHY? When his other brother has the same mother?Also served his country and suffered from it.Tony your coldblooded man.And look at it this way if the older brother was the star and passed away would you say dont give younger brother prince and tyka anything?

Minnesota state laws aside, did Prince even have a relationship with any of these "Johnny & Jenny come lately" half-siblings?

dont u think he figured dont bother with a will because there would be NO ONE he could trust anyway to make sure it was carried out???? this way let the animals fight it out at the end

The list is not a list of heirs. It's a list of people who are presumed under Minnesota law to be siblings or half-siblings, and as such do not have to take a dna test to prove their relationship to P. No determination has been made in regards to those stating that Prince is their father. Many of those claims will be handled behind the record, so we may not get to know the outcome of some of them.

That's not what the law says. If Prince wanted to leave everything to Tyka, he needed to put that in a will.

Please remember this is a last resort way of trying to resolve an estate. You've got a very wealthy man who died without first making a will and then not leaving behind a spouse or living children. Only after not having any of those things does the estate then trickle down to his siblings.

It's what the law says.

His closest living relatives are his siblings and MN law doesn't differentiate between full and half siblings. People can have their opinions about the treatment of half siblings and full siblings, but these opinions aren't going to change anything about what happens to his estate. I didn't write the law, I'm just stating what many news outlets have stated.
