I get help from lots of people and Prince gave me lots of encouragement through his example.

Here are some things I've learned:

- Thieves in the Temple: Help me be a better woman than them.

- Don't drink coffee. (I've been trying to quit. It makes me excited and blocks me from truth; from knowing what I see. I run around people-pleasing and am not emotionally honest)

- Love other people. ("The only love there is is the love we make" means, "The only love we feel is the love we give)

- Try to be one, a part of. Be a friend.

- Encourage people to be their best. Notice what's good about them.

- Help people in some way. Don't let my life be for nothing. (It won't be as big as Prince's life but if I can be a blessing to someone, someone outside of my family, expecting nothing in return and telling no one, that's a lot)

- Let people say what they want about you and continue to live your life anyway. Be Yourself. Express yourself.

- Never let fear stop you.

- Don't spend your time thinking about how to fight people. That'll keep you from your purpose.

- Never badmouth an ex.

- Be happy. Live each day to its fullest. (another hard one right now)

- Don't complain or be sad, but feel your feelings. The human mind is amazing and interesting.

- Eat healthily. (he did) Get rest (he didn't)

- Follow God's say-so when I feel there's something he wants me to do (the symbol). Trust yourself. Have the courage to do it.

- Always remember to sincerely thank God every night.

- Try to mature spiritually.

- Be creative with something in my life. Create something with my hands or voice etc., and do it for God - with joy and thanks (BTW, FYI: creativity is a part of trauma healing)

- Find my Way Back Home too - by doing the above, trying my best, and loving God with all my heart.

Something I want to do someday:

- Make love to someone metaphysically. Whatever that means I won't know until I do it.

I remember him asking Damaris in the phone interview if she was drinking coffee because she was so upbeat.
