Friday Fun for the Weekend: Let's Make an Exhaustive List of Prince' Slow Jams and Love Songs
Guys, I just got this idea as it's a warm summer night and I'm putting together playlists for my upcoming vacation. I know we've been pretty sad around here as of late (although the absurdities sticky has given us some good chuckles)...and for all the waxing poetic we've read about Prince's impact on contemporary pop and funk around the globe, I really have to say I will miss what he gave to the world of romantic music.
Though he wore many musical hats encompassing nearly every genre, Prince was a master crooner and baladeer bar none in the most traditional sense of those words, just as likely the r&b underscore for as many "first times", wedding nights, and baby making sessions as Luther Vandross and half the soul singers of the 1970s . So in loving tribute toPrincey and celebration of summer nights, I invite to you add your all time favorite Prince Love Songs/ Slow Jams to what I hope can be an exhaustive list to inspire other orgers to make their own playlists, playlists that will hopefully inspire a lot more romantic nights and baby making sessions for folks for years to come

To get the party started: my favorite love song from when I was in 4th or 5th grade - with whoever my elementary school crush was at the time. Even back then I would listen to the Quiet Storm broadcast on radio before I went to sleep, and they played this like clockwork at about 8:30 every night. P touched my little 10 year old romantic soul and I used to sing my little heart out along with him, all over some miniature blockhead I was pining for in the school lunchroom
