i woke up weepy this morning with 'future soul song' playing in my head.the part towards the end when he says "i hear sounds.... but i don't care". i had been fine for the last few weeks and thought i had rounded the corner but not quite i guess.

That's easy to say. We lost four close-to-us people between the end of January 2016 and the first week in March, including a beloved god daughter. Then this. One can get rubbed really raw and it's for NO ONE else to judge. I count weeks and months for several souls right now.

In a lot of ways its still unbelieveable.

Even though I am not crying every day now - I still shed a tear - and yes, I remembered the 3 months too - I think at first you do count the week, the month, the three months, the six months, the year - then it becomes yearly - it is just how it is........nothing wrong with that. It is a quiet way of repecting the person meant something.

woke up this morning feeling awful. heaviness on my heart, could not figure out why. just logged onto the org tonight and realised it is 3 months today. still raw, sad, shocked, but somewhat resigned. there will never be anyone like Prince again, the world has lost some of its light for sure. continue and persevere we must...

It is still sad for me, but I'm slowly feeling better about this.

I waited for this day to come and go because it's Thursday the 21st again!

I am still grieving. Not only is the rest of my year f**d up, so is a piece of my

childhood and my life. I didn't think he'd live as long as his father did, but I

didn't think he would leave us this soon and the way he did.

It hurts worse today for me, more than April 21st.

It's such an echo chamber here it's easy to forget. It's a two-sided coin: 'Good'--for lack of a better word--because it means his memory and legacy is so vivid and full of life, but not so good because long-term denial isn't ideal by any means. We're all making our way through this.
