not true, not true at all. our heroes really do not exist for themselves but for us. The inspiration they leave continues to inspire long after they are gone.

but you're point is taken, i'm fighting back tears listening to the atlanta show with him saying "can't nobody do it like Prince do" and he ain't never lied.

I find that it's the videos of Prince onstage that make me sad because I know I'll never see him like that again. Not so much his music.

Right now, sometimes I feel a tinge of sadness, even more than a tinge at times, but it always passes, hardly the same songs or the same parts, just moments that catch me off kilter and that will probably always happen from now on. But for the most part, I find his music give me an attitude adjustment, when other things are not going so well even now, it's still calming.

I still feel a twinge of sadness when I hear John Lennon's voice. I have not yet played David Bowie's last CD, even though it has been in the car for months; I do watch his videos on YouTube. I have listened to a lot of Prince, but watching his DVDs is difficult. I missed so much over the years. Each of us grieves differently.

I just decided today that I cannot listen to AOA in it's entirety. Had to leave work and just drive and cry. I can pretty much listen to everything elase

Certain songs have new meaning to me and are moving eg. The Ladder etc but mostly I listen and it makes me happy to know that his legacy will live on, and generations beyond us will enjoy this totally hot genius Like he said about Vanity in Melbourne, I'm gonna celebrate and not mourn.

It comes and goes. More than ever, memories of my first discovery of songs/albums/videos/movies comes back to me, and it feels almost like i'm back in time for a spell. I'm most thankful for that.

Same here. Today it comes Just can't shake the overwhelming feeling of sadness I get when I think about his death. Of him in that elevator... Not sadness for me, but sadness for him because I believe he was deeply in pain. I hope that his soul is at peace.

I feel your pain. Maybe the feeling will pass you we all grieve differently and all have every right to feel it how we need to. I still for the life of me cannot listen to Sometimes It Snows In April without balling my eyes out, every single time. So, I stay away from that jam, I am not strong enough yet to handle it.

I must say I feel Prince is alive and with me, with us, when I play his music loud and proud. And his music has such a different meaning to me now. I feel his music more and feel more alive then I ever did listening to it. I do feel his music creates positivity, confidence and good vibes.

So I am sorry you feel this way about his music. It could be a phase, and I pray you can get out of it.

Trust, I have been in some very dark, sad places in my head in regards to Prince and trying to make sense of his death and how it happened. I still have my moments. But now listening to his music helps me so damn much. It's my medicine I need it every day to feel him around me.

BINGO! about two weeks ago, I was driving home, "The Exodus Has Begun" came on and I felt it... true joy and attitude listening to a Prince song again. That song will always be special for just that reason!

I live in the world of Faith and Hope.

Prince's music was built on those concepts.

The hurt and pain will pass eventually for all of us at different times but we will always miss the man.
