Prince and Sunglasses Anybody know what brand of sunglasses Prince wore? He looked so good in all of them!

He wore Sam Jennings glasses at the Alma awards, because he forgot his that night. Okay, here's another small anecdote from my time with Prince: This performance happened exactly 9 years ago today at the Alma Awards in Los Angeles. Instead of a dressing room, Prince had a full trailer out back behind the theater. I drove with him to the event and we were hanging out in his trailer before the performance, probably talking about the Planet Earth CD or something coming up. He suddenly realized he forgot his sunglasses back at the hotel, but I just happened to have mine in my pocket. Well I'm a nice guy, right? So I offered them up to him. He said "Perfect!" and offered to pay me for the sunglasses. I refused, but he went ahead and put money on the table anyway. Before I knew it, he proceeded to take the sunglasses out and up on to the stage for the whole performance. I have no idea why he felt he needed sunglasses for this one, but there it is. My sunglasses (or should I say HIS sunglasses) got their moment in the spotlight.

Mainly designer. Versace, D&C, Chanel. He wore Ray Bans during the Parade era and Aviators during Dirty Mind. I have a pic of him wearing shades with "Dior" written on the side of them too. "I was here in the beginning and I'll be here forever more" | |

Anyone know what sunglasses these are?
He wore them mainly in the early '90s if that helps date them.
These ones are cool too but I've not seen that many pics of him wearing them elsewhere than this particular shoot. | |

I am always curious of an artist's reasons for wearing sunglasses are. I know some that wear them because just like me they have blue eyes and the lights from the stage during shows or the flash of cameras during photoshoots hurt their eye. I know some wear them just because they have a great love of the accessories(much like us girls like certain type earrings or jewelry). I'm curious what Prince's reason for always wearing sunglasses were. Also I've noticed some pics he was wearing what looked to be regular eye glasses. Do we know if he wore contacts? | |

Maybe certain lighting cause of the epilepsy? I know he said he has it as a kid but idk if he ever dealt with anything relating to that as an adult. | |
