i love the falsetto version even more. Right now i have a variation on Thieves which I need to complete. It's an instrumental more or less. I might but the "love come quick' refrain in there maybe not.

Hi! New around here biggrin Yeah cool track and video, kind of gives me a Michael Jackson vibe a little bit with his moves, the hair - however more slick. But em, what are those Man-garters though, OMG, looked like he was wearing normal pants at first. Thats where the Michael comparison ends lol. And how did those guys behind him keep a straight face, too funny. But I guess they were used to their Boss in his underwear by then. lol

Yeah, there are parts of this dance routine that remind me of MJ too. But don't you recognize those thigh high boots? He performed in them alot during the BPRE (Before Purple Rain Era). Those guy behind him were professional dancers. More than half of them were probably gay, so my guess is that they thought the way he dressed was more hot than funny. wink

lol Nope didnt recognize the thigh boots cuz was not just expecting them with that ensemble. In this video, he was looking less flamboyant/more conservative (up top) so the freakiness kind of threw me off. Actually I think its more shocking than his "louder" garb, cuz it hits you stealthly. Yeah, about the dancers, professional they were. I think their shoulder padded B-Boy style is about the only thing that gives away the 90s vibe of this track/vid, especially since it doesnt have the rapping guest spots.

I love that term Man-Garters. I wonder what the wardrobe thought when he asked for these. The coat just makes it more modest. lol

Must admit, when it came out I wasn't overly impressed.
But the extended version certainly made me like it more.

Never liked the choreography in this clip, and hated the tied back hairdo.

But once again, that's all fixed during the extended mix.

And LOVE the girls in HIS outfits. cool

Its like they filmed the 2 clips on different days.

Hi NurseV, thanks for the welcome! smile Yes you know thats right, the dancers were like, "what garters?" biggrin What's so awesome about P, as far as gender stuff, is that he never declared himself and didnt not follow trends, he just DID. Thats audacious, courageous and all that but for him at the time, i guess that was just Normal. Psychically and theorectically, I really dig it, especially as I have aged, but on the real....when I was a teenager, if some guy I liked turnt up with some Man-garters, slippin n slidin around talkin bout some "thieves in the temple 2nite" - I would RUN! lol
