I have to admit when I was a teenager and Prince had Mayte in EVERYTHING he did...I was getting kinda sick of her like "Hey that is MY man!!" ...I knew he was just my fantasy man but I was jealous in that young girl kinda way. I actually wasn't surprised they got married actually...he just seemed to put her on a pestal during that era and was obsessed with her. Now I like Mayte though...she really is a beautiful woman...I saw her in person by complete chance in 97 or 98 and wow...she was way more beautiful than any pics of seen of her.

Oh I absolutley think he did. But I was a young fan back then in the mid-90s I didn't know any of that. All my fantasies of meeting him and falling in love were dashed...lol...I know... silly, but that is how young girls tend to think when they idolize a rock star.

Back then, I thought, meh, she's alright, nothing special and she was no Vanity. I think that Vanity was the only one that I would have been okay with him marrying. How do I think Prince felt about his female fans? I think a part of him cultivated and loved the attention, but I also think that he was a little bit terrified. Sorta like he wanted the attention, but then felt overwhelmed.

Well, I most likely would've actually gone to class instead of sitting up on the hill near campus, reading poetry and smoking weed. Um. I was a bit of a hippie. My kids say I still am. That must be why my favourite look of P' was around GB. Once I went to nursing school, I became too focused to think about cute teachers/instructors/professors or anything outside of passing the damned state boards. Ugh. Lol

I love his GB look! that has got to be one of sexiest looks he's ever sported!...I"m sure if P was a teacher back in our high school/ jr high days looking like the GB era, he could of probably talked many a ladies into not skipping his class!
