First Appearance of 0+>

The O+> first appears on the 1999 album. If I read one more article that states otherwise, I will explode in a paisley rage.

End rant.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Yeah. I think you're right. It's at the bottom of one of the numbers on the cover innit. I would love to see more of his art. Wonder how much time he got to paint or draw in his life.
.
Who has been stating otherwise? Are they saying earlier or later. If it's later they don't know.
.
Still missing him like owt. Love u all purple family. Xoxox

I noticed it has a long history, makes me curious about it's genesis.

Maybe he was just doodling, playing with signs and symbols. the cnd sign, the love heart or the anarchy sign. Not too much of a leap and then when he was doing that cover he kinda fell upon it (ouch!), while sketching. I'd like to think it came to him direct rather than was given. For me whilst the later symbol became his name 0+> will always be the classic realisation of it for me. 5 strokes of the pen.

.

Love you family - appreciate you all being there this past three months. man. nearly three months. xoxox

Umm at the risk of being snipped, banned or flamed this is a combination of occultic things combined in an alchemical sigil
Mars Venus. Mercury 666 and "demon" have all been associated with this artwork.

It's different than the symbol he uses later, though.

It started out looking like a combination of the male and female sign,

The two standard sex symbols denoting male ♂ and female ♀are derived from astrological symbols, denoting the classical planets
Marsand Venus, respectively. These symbols have been in use since the Renaissance also denoting elements in alchemy, specifically the metals iron and copper.

Which added to his whole mystic. But I guess over time it took on other meanings for him which is way it changed.
