I've seen some footage where he was performing and he would ask the audience who they belonged to, and they yelled out "Prince"! So cool

IDK, I think it's much more than his voice. Everything Prince did, he did with personality. I guess by that I mean he totally emerced the essence of he was into whatever he did. It's what made him so unique and so endearing, never to be replicated nor duplicated. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. | |

When I first heard Prince I was in middle school and fell in love immediately, obviously.... But it was the very first moment I SAW him!! In person!!! That blew me away. I promised myself that my very first concert would be either Prince or Michael Jackson, Luckily Prince came to my hometown.
My heart melted, I couldn't even believe that I was in the same vacinity as he, breathing the same air....
I went 2 see him Live in Washington DC in 2004, I'm pretty young so I was 14 years old at this time. I got to the venue REALLY REALLY early, Im surprised they even let me in that early
He was soundchecking....it was awesome, there were only about 6 people in the audience, (3 people I was with and 2 others across the stadium) when he finished, he exited the stage and was walking in the direction that I was in, I was on the second or third floor so he was exiting right under the balcony that I was standing on....
I knew I had to say something!! I couldn't think of anything so I just said, "TAKE ME WITH YOU!!" Ha Ha, a pun on reality and his song... He looked up at me and smirked, and kept walking.
But looking back, I should've said, "PRINCE! This is my very first concert and I'm 14 years old!!"
Maybe he would've brought me backstage or something lol I can only wonder now. | |
