Hmmm...who would have the better idea of the War, a Vet or someone who read about it? lol Not the same but thanks for playing.
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

Quit messin' with our heads, rd! biggrin

y'all should have known from the git-go lol

To be honest, when I read your post I kinda wondered, but I'm trying to be more positive today so I decided to just take what you wrote at face value and go with it.

Guess I should always follow my gut instincts about things. biggrin

...And I still love W & L and miss 'em! smile

I'm amazed that Prince had never heard of or listened to the Beatles until Wendy introduced him them. evillol

I have a strong feeling that if a certain someone accepts a certain Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction (and that's a big IF, I know), there could be a strong chance of a certain Revolutionary Revival...don'tcha think? If the HOF could bring The Police and the Talking Heads back together for one night, then who knows...?

I don't rule anything out, but at the same time it would be just Prince they would induct if it happens in his first year of eligibility. Much like Springsteen's disgruntled E Street Band during his induction, the Revolution isn't eligible in 2004.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

i still do not get why folks hold w & l in such high regard...hmm

I'm with you! W & L were okay, but I get sick of people talking about what an influence they were on Prince, blah, blah, blah. People act like their shit don't stink and that they can do no wrong. rolleyes rolleyes Let's be honest: If Prince had never hired W & L to play in his band the Revolution, we probably never would have even heard of them. omg Perish the thought! lol I'm totally sick of W & L at this point. barf
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This thread comes up time & time again in different variations.

Has this ever been a poll on the org? What do the org membership as a whole really think that W&L's contribution to the Prince sound was - irrelevant, marginal, important or a crucial turning point? It would be interesting to see...

LaV? Ian?
