News report about a guy who grew up with Prince. News story has a photo but I am not sure that is him | |

That just doesn't look like Prince at all. I think he grew up with another Nelson, lost touch, and now he thinks his long lost childhood friend was Prince.

That kid in the pıcture looks nothıng lıke Prince. And I've never heard anybody refer to Prince as just ''Roger''. Maybe he went to school wıth Roger Troutman? That Purple Raın era footage at the 1.15 min. mark wıth the red shırt, whıte poncho and red fedora ıs ınterestıng though. Never seen that one before. They played all kinds of sports. Hockey. Er, that's a new one. I didn't listen to the rest of it. Picture doesn't look like a cross between the kindergarten picture and the Jr. HS picture, don't look like the same person eyes are kind too droopy but I'm no expert. Maybe. | |

The girl in the photo looks enough like Tyka to me to wonder if maybe he knew her instead, and just conflated the Roger kid with Prince in his mind over the years. Funny as hell though that this made the news with a pic of a kid that clearly is not Prince though. | |

that's not to say that he may have known him. I don't know. but 40 some odd years is a long time. Most people can't even remember me from 15-25 years ago, but then, so i'm told, alcohol and drugs seem to block out whole portions of peoples lives. | |
