Love this! It would have been cool being one of the three girls in the studio apartment! Sounds like fun memories for them.

I guess Prince was expecting the night to go a little differently.

It didn't surprise me at all.

Cool stories. I used to pray that one day I'd meet him....it wasn't meant to be, at least not here on earth.

I used to work with a woman that was from Minneapolis and she told a story of having Prince's car towed from a movie theater once. Apparently he and what amounted to his entourage at the time were going to see "Staying Alive". That would have been 1983. No idea if it's true but I don't see why she'd lie about it. She was a fan.

That story cracked me up -- mainly the image of Prince wandering around some sad little studio apartment, looking with disdain at the busted futon -- and offering to buy a regular bed because I'm sure he imagined he might be spending some time on it!

Anyway, I don't feel too bad for Prince that the night was a bust. For every night like this, there were probably 10 that ended up just as he wanted
