I've said since the loss of Prince that when this song is really done well I will be a mess. D'Angelo didn't do it (I'm not used to him but it sounded nasal and didn't bring much BUT it was touching that he had the extra lyric in there and it got to him) and now hearing this version doesn't reflect so well on Martin's voice, on Coldplay stuff obviously everything is setup to suit Martins style but this reminds me of back in the day when I heard one of the first big live performances of Yellow! ** do something, before we're gone , and we're just a rock where a world went wrong...**

Lianne's performance of the song at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes when I caught it on the radio, so I really don't think I need to hear Coldplay ruin it. If you ever lose someone dear 2 U, never say the words "they're gone". They'll come back.

Nice but would have been better if Martin actually knew the words. She kept looking to him to jump in.
