Just As Long As We're Together

Purple Rain (20ten 20ten - Coppenhagan version) - I tend not to be the teary type, but I listened to my first live recordings of Prince since he died. I was enjoying it but when he unexpectedly launched into a wonderful version of Purple Rain, that live moment really hit me hard in the realization that no such new live moments would happen. So, this man cried on the way to work. However, the afterbuzz is that I now am grateful that my mind keeps on jamming to this version in a more joyous way!

I haven't heard this live performance yet, but have heard many others and this is often when it hits me hard again and when realisation sinks further in.
It gets easier overall but the occasional hurdles often take me by surprised and make me realise how much I still miss him.
You are right though about the joyful musical afterbuzz. His music is now the most precious thing we still have from him.
And I am very grateful for it too.
