I went to the Minneapolis fireworks choreographed to Prince music for the Fourth and was a little late, but came in around the time The Current's stream was playing some live version of With You. Prince made a shoutout to Rosie Gaines towards the end, which is how I knew it was live, and a good live version at that. I've really been looking for this performance; if it's out there on the Internet somewhere, it's hidden under piles of him performing Nothing Compares 2 U with Rosie.

The playlist they used was a medley and I suppose the shoutout to Rosie could have been a piece from a live version of a different song (NC2U?), but the ending was definitely With You.

Was anyone else at the fireworks listening in or know of a live version of With You featuring Rosie?

If Rosie was on it, it's likely from the Nude Tour or Diamonds and Pearls tour. However, this says he only performed it a small number of times from 1993 onward. It could be the one from 2002, but she got pissed at him (again) shortly after the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 gig, and didn't work with him again. So not even sure about that.

Almost certain. I remember him saying "Rosie Gaines, everyone," or something to that effect. They list all the songs in the medley here. I'm starting to think it was just a mashup of a different song's live version that transitioned into the end of With You.
